Marc D. McGarry
I have been in private practice since 1980, doing individual, group, and couples psychotherapy. An essential part of Gillean training involves years of intensive group and individual psychotherapy, both personal and didactic, with a senior Gillean member. The training also includes weekly seminars involving supervision and theory.
To gain added experience with the widest variety of patients in the most direct way, I worked at a major psychiatric hospital for four years.
I initiated and ran a childrens group that was the first of its kind. I have taught courses at the Learning Adventure, Brookline Adult Education, and Cambridge Adult Education, aas well as having trained resident advisers at the Boston Conservatory of Music and Tufts University.
